Excerpt from Christianity and Agnosticism: Reviews of Some Recent Attacks on the Christian Faith

To these articles, which I hope will furnish the reader with sufficient materials for a review of this particular controversy, are added an article on the late Mr Cotter Morison's attack on Christianity in his volume entitled The Ser vice of Man,' and another on Robert Elsmere,' both published in the Quarterly Review.' Each of these reviews deals with some important points in the current controversy with Agnosticism, and may therefore serve to supplement the arguments in the other papers.
