Quando è alla te sta della società cammina arditamente, perchè guida; quand poi trovasi nella moltitudine va a passo lento, perchè lotta. Ne primo caso, il popolo pieno di fiducia si lascia governare; ne secondo, all'opposto, vuol far tutto da se solo.
