Una masa eléctrica +m (fig. Colocada dentro de un cuerpo hueco y buen conductor crea a su alrededor un campo eléctrico, cuyas líneas de fuer za, divergiendo a su través, llegan a la superficie interna del conductor envolvente. Los tubos de fuerza que determinan tienen, desde luego, su ori gen en la masa eléctrica y cortan la superficie en volvente según elementos superficiales corre spon dientes, que tendrán masas eléctn'cas iguales y de signos contrarios a las del origen de cada tubo. La masa interna constituye el inductor y la envolvente el inducida. El interior de ésta, a causa del flujo que recibe, posee una carga igual y de signo con trario a la ínductora.
