I° Gruppo Nel primo, forse un po' pm artificiale degli altri, pone le teorie di quelli che, come ad es. Epicuro, hanno fatto dipendere il piacere e il dolore unicamente dal desiderio e dalla volontà. Secondo questi filosofi, il piacere sarebbe tutto nella scppressione dell'ostacolo al compi mento 'del desiderio, esso sarebbe puramente negativo, mentre la sola pena sarebbe positiva. Il gran precetto di questa scuola non sarà. Quindi di carcere il piacere ma soltanto di evitare il dolore.
