Die vorliegende Arbeit ist das Ergebnis einer im September 1904 durch den Yellow stone Park unternommenen Reise 'und zahlreicher Späterer Studien über diesen Gegenstand. Der aussere Anlass zu der Reise war die Weltausstellung zu St. Louis. Doch habe ich auch gerade den Abstecher in das Wunderland als Hauptziel der Reise betrachtet.
