Cet Essai de biographie n'est en gros que la reproduction d'une thèse, déposée et la fin d'oc tobre 1903 et soutenue en janvier 1904 et l'école des Chartes, sous le titre d'essai sur Pierre de Ronsard. Apres avoir plus de cinq ans délaisse ce travail, je me suis décidé et le reprendre, et tout l'été de 1909 fut consacre a l'améliorer et a le polir.
