Intesi a questo scopo, ma con limiti assai mo desti, noi imprendiamo la pubblicazione di due lettere del Colombo e di una del Vespucci, le quali, se non presentano, per ciò che si riferisce alla storia dei grandi fatti di quell'epopea, una importanza massima, sono però ricche di quei particolari onde i Francesi, rettamente pensano debba essere ricco il resoconto di qualunque sto rico, se vuol far rivivere della vita del tempo di cui parla, i suoi leggitori.
