Ese día fué de los mas cansados que hubiese tenido el emperador durante el curso de su enfer medad, y tambien uno de los mas tristes para noso tros, que notábamos el vuelo de su mal y los sin tomas que anunciaban su próximo fin. Los vómitos lo obligaron á menudo a suspender el dictar las determinaciones de su última voluntad, pero fué inutil cuanto hicimos para que dejara un trabajo que le ocasionaba tan graves accidentes.

Estoy cansado, nos decia lo conozco, me queda poco tiempo, y es menester acabar. Dáme un poco de ese vino de Constanza que me ha enviado Las - Casas una lágrima no me puede hacer mal.
