Gab ich aber in der zweiten Auflage die Urkunden in der Regel nur diplomatisch genau, so ziehe ich es diesmal vor die Belegstellen gewöhnlich in moderner Sprache zu geben, die alten Texte jedoch in die Anmerkungen zu verweisen. Die meisten Leser werden diese Änderung dankbar begrüßen.
