We live in a day when change is the desire of the masses. However, the focus of God’s prophets and reformers was not change, but rather recapturing that which had been left behind (Isaiah 58:12; Amos 9:11). God’s true leaders were all about restoring old paths (Jeremiah 6:16) and ancient landmarks (Job 24:2; Proverbs 23:10). Recapturing the Biblical Epic of Prayer is a book that seeks to fulfill the role of God’s ancient leaders. While the masses seek for a novel twist and exciting extravaganza in their prayer lives, the faithful remnant of serious intercessors will find freshness in their prayers through recapturing the Biblical epic of prayer.
