Fourth. The fourth Rule is that Of silence, when our own necessities or those Of others do not require it to be broken; but even then, neither proud and haughty language, nor that curiosity which listens to worldly news, nor the idle ness which takes pleasure in vain and jesting remarks, must in any way mingle in the conversation.
