Primo ufficio dei musei di provincia, che per la ristrettezza dei mezzi, non possono competere con quelli delle grandi capitali, si è di presentare possibilmente completi i prodotti naturali del proprio paese. E per questo rispetto, almeno per quanto riguarda la fauna marina e la ¿ora, il nostro museo può dirsi abbastanza bene fornito. La collezione adriatica forma una sezione speciale e forse la pm interessante, inquantoche ci offre un quadro quasi completo della vita varia e multiforme, che s'agita tra le azzurre onde del nostro mare.
