In the modern world, even though synthetic drugs are readily available and highly capable in curing diseases, there are people who still prefer using traditional medicines. Medicinal plants are sources of unknown chemical substances with potential therapeutic effects. The high cost of modern drug and inaccessibility of medicinal health care facilities in rural areas, compel the local people to rely on medicinal plants.
