Therefore, rather than focusing on comparing various HSW management options, decentralized Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) is concerned with combining a wide range of options to supplement each other in order to achieve an environmentally and economically sustainable system for a particular area.

Thokozani Kapichi is an Associate Lecturer in Meteorology and Climate Science at the Malawi University of Science and Technology. He has written various Geography texts books for senior secondary schools in Malawi. He has worked as a secondary school teacher for 7 years before join the university.
