Excerpt from The Good Parishioner: A Discourse Occasioned by the Death of Benjamin Rich, Esq., Delivered in the Church on Church Green, June 8, 1851
The subject on which I propose to speak to you this morning is The Character of the Good Parishioner. I shall endeavour, as far as may be, to portray him from life, and describe his whole course of action, so far as it relates to the parish to which he belongs.
