Merryl Goldberg is an Associate Professor of Visual and Performing Arts at California State University San Marcos. A professional saxophonist and recording artist who toured internationally for thirteen years with the Klezmer Conservatory Band, Goldberg has published widely on the importance of arts in education including Arts and Learning: An Integrated Approach to Teaching and Learning in Multicultural and Multilingual Settings (2nd ed.) (2001) Addison Wesley/Longman. She is the recipient of Spencer, John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur, and Fulbright-Hays Foundations grants relating to her work with arts in the schools.
