Diese äusserst seltene Münze des in der Sage als "cymheüne berühmten mächtigen britischen Königs ist eine seiner wichtigsten, weil sie uns sein Bildniss giebt; so wenigstens wird der Kopf aufgefasst. Evans (the coins of the ancient Britons 1864 p. Sagt: "the portrait being that of Cunobelinus, represented after the manner of the Roman emperors. Die Art der Auffassung, namentlich der Lorbeerkranz mit der Diademschleife, ist aller dings so völlig der Ausstattung eines römischen Kaiserkopfes gleich, dass man wohl eher an das Bild eines solchen, als an das jenen Köpfen in der Tracht nachgebildete des britischen Königs denken möchte, der Kopf hat sogar eine gewisse Ähnlich keit mit Tiberius.
