Informationen zum Autor Michael D. Thompson is a University of Chattanooga Foundation Associate Professor of American History at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He earned his B.A. in history from the University of Michigan and his M.A. and Ph.D. in history from Emory University. Thompson's manuscript for Working on the Dock of the Bay won the 2011 Hines Prize from the College of Charleston's Program in the Carolina Lowcountry and Atlantic World, and the book was a finalist and runner-up for the South Carolina Historical Society's 2016 George C.
