Bien des morceaux ont été retrouvés de côté et d'autre et demandent une comparaison critique; la correction des fautes, qui ne sont pas très rares, n'est pas toujours aisée; l'intelligence même des vers, souvent obscurs et entortillés, de Deschamps n'est nullement aussi facile qu'on était porté à le pen ser d'après les échantillons antérieurement publiés.
