Sie entstehen durch Einwirkung von Thionylchlorid auf primäre Amine und zwar ist die Reaction so allgemein, dass sie fiir diese Basen charakteristisch zu sein scheint.
In Folge der glatten Umsetzung durch Wasser in Amin und Schwefeldioxyd durch Alkali in Amin und schwe¿igsaures Salz liegt es ausser Zweifel, dass das Thionyl an Stickstoff gebunden ist.
