About the author

Tim Pond's artwork spans two decades of working in a wide range of different media and clients. He is particularly recognised for his dip pen and ink work which has appeared in the Guardian Newspaper and a wide range of other publications. Sketching from nature has taken Tim from being an expedition artist in Alaska, to sketching leaves in a tropical forest in Mexico.

Tim Pond is an associate artist at ZSL (Zoological Society of London) and teaches a regular drawing class at London Zoo, 'ZSL Saturday Sketch'. Last year the class was a complete sell out, with rave reviews including an article in the Artists and Illustrators magazine and listed as one of the best things to do in London in Time Out.

Summary

This book is packed with practical advice to help you capture the movement and feeling of weight of the animal in front of you, whether you are out in the field, or at a zoo, aquarium, or wildlife park.
