In our lifetime education, the United States colleges and universities seemed on the brink of an innovation in post-secondary education by offering distance education. Recent studies on e-Learning, using educational technologies in the classroom to connect learners to curricula and instruction), has focused on relationships between the faculty and students rather than asking whether (or not) these technologies foster an effective learning community (Garrison & Archer, 2000. Why is e-Learning an appeal to colleges and universities? Arguably, distance education, or making use of computers and Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard, Moodle and Canvas, to connect students and faculty in a learning environment that uses mobile phones, laptops, and social media technologies is evolving as a pedagogic opportunity. The mid-twentieth century scholars do discuss the issues, concepts and trends regarding changing the pedagogics through computers and internet connectivity.
