About the author

Tamsin Pickeral is a writer who specialises in books in books on art, animals and travel. Alongside her own books she has also been a major contributor to a number of multi-author art reference publications and exhibition catalogues. Her books are published internationally, and have been widely reviewed in leading newspapers and magazines.Stephanie Cotela Tanner holds a masters degree in the History of Art from Birkbeck College, University of London. She is a freelance art historian and curator, with extensive international experience. She also lectures on a wide range of subjects, including Northern and Italian Renaissance art, British modernism and post-World War II Italian painting and cinema. She publishes the blog, ArtSmacked, which features daily commentary and debates on art news.
