Climate study appears to be closely related to the environment studies. In this context the book has been written understanding the tenets of underlying principles and processes of global climate. In Chapter 1 the basics of weather and climate have been outlined. Chapter 8 exposes the debate on global warming and Chapter 9 traces the climate change with reference to paleo-climate and glacial epochs. In Chapter 10 the relationship of climate with the ecosystem has been discussed. Subsequently in Chapter 11 habitats for diseases are identified with climate conditions. No study would be complete without understanding the classification of the system. In Chapter 12 the various climatic classifications and their genesis have been discussed.
