Das vorliegende Buch ist die vollig umgearbeitete und wesentlich vermehrte zweite Au¿age meiner gleichnamigen, 1915 in der Sammlung '"vieweg (nr. 23) erschienenen Schrift, die vergriffen ist. Die Übernahme der neuen Auflage in die Samm lung "wissenschaft erfolgte wegen des vergrößerten Umfanges; sie erscheint aber auch durch die starke Veränderung gerecht fertigt, die sie bei der Neubearbeitung erfahren hat und durch welche sie' den Charakter eines neuen Buches annimmt.
