We have attempted a systematic survey of the ordinary and normal behavior of infancy and early childhood. In making this survey it has been our purpose to formulate the findings with sufficient concreteness to make them suitable for at least par tial application. The characteristics of infancy are so chang ing and so fugitive that orderly information becomes a practical necessity.
