EAMONN HENRY, a retired teacher and native of Swinford, Mayo, has written a wide variety of Mayo-related articles for online publication, and has edited the magazine section of mayo-ireland.ie, the most popular and comprehensive website in Connacht. He also runs mayogodhelpus.com and is the author of The Little Book of Mayo and Tales from the West of Ireland. During his professional life he was a member of the so-called 'Drumcondra Mafia, ' Bertie Ahern's inner core of advisers.
