Last not least muss ich meines hochverehrten Freundes Pro fessor G. Schweinfurth gedenken, dessen liebenswürdiger Rath über alle Fährnisse unbekannter Verhältnisse hinweg half, und dessen Begleitung ich ausserordentlich viel verdanke, zu viel, um es in einem kurzen Dankesworte ausdrücken zu können. Allerdings, Professor Schweinfurth hatte früher schon die Kolonie besucht, und heute vermag ich die Empfindungen zu theilen, die ihn dorthin zurück gezogen.
