J'ai énoncé, comme exercice, dans les Nouvelles Annales, la proposition suivante Étant donnés deux points quelconques A et B d'une surface du second ordre, si en ces points on mène les normales à la sur face, et si l 'on désigne par a et b les points où ces nor males coupent nu plan de symétrie quelconque de la surface, le plan mené par le milieu de la corde AB et perpendiculaüement à cette corde passe par le milieu du segment ab.
