On n'a d'ailleurs publié sur cette matiere que de rares documents ou des renseignements incomplets, malgré l'importance considérable des applica tions diverses auxquelles elle se prête, tant comme auxiliaire de l'industrie que comme un des engins de guerre les plus énergiques.
