This book investigates a type of weak aggregate obtained from ordinary brick and over burnt brick to study its applicability in construction of sub-base course of flexible pavements and also to study the feasibility of using over-burnt bricks in lean cement concrete mixes and surface layer of pavement as PCC.

About the author










Partha Pratim Sarkar is currently Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering Department, National Institute of Technology, Agartala, India. He earned his MTech degree from IIT Kharagpur and PhD from IIT Guwahati. He is actively associated with research and consultancy related pavement materials and pavement design.
