The Wildlife Ecological book explores the ecological influence on the social behaviour of the Drill monkeys in captivity, Gorilla and Weaverbirds nesting in the wild respectively. The Drill monkeys are highly endangered in the wild in Cameroon due to poaching pressure, this problem explains the main reason for their domestication and consequently their behavioural ecological research. Inaddition, the exploration of some important areas of the nesting ecology of Gorillas such as vegetation structure and architectural characteristics has been given a considerable importance. Furthermore, the book explains the role of ecological factors on the nests construction behaviour of weaverbirds in local farms.

About the author










Dr. Melle Ekane Maurice was born in 1974 in Muaku, Bangem Sub Division. He is an Associate Professor in Wildlife Management and Head of Dep. of Forestry and Wildlife Management in University of Buea, Republic of Cameroon. He has published many books and scientific articles in wildlife management, wildlife ecological conservation, wildlife habitat.
