IT may be further obferved, that through the whole of this Work, I have omitted a number of articles entirely, and have been brief upon many 0. Thers to be commonly found in books, while on fome others I may fcem to be rather difi'ufe. This I ac knowledge to be true; but I ¿atter myfelf that the attic es om3tted, or pafi'ed over ¿ightly, will be found by molt judges to be fuch as do not de ferve more particular notice. I lhould indeed have omitted more than I have done, had it not been that I judged it necelfary to correct the affertions fre quently to be found in the writers on this fubjeét.
