What role does Africa play in the war against terrorism? Recent increase in terrorist attacks and consequences of 9/11 on the United States and the world have shifted attention to America's war on terror including Afghanistan, Iraq and ISIS. Africa largely remains poor and underdeveloped making it a perfect breeding ground for terrorist groups. This has raised the question of whether the continent has the financial, political and legal means and will to combat this phenomenon. How does terrorist activities on this continent; believed to incorporate the world's poorest countries affects the world economy? Africa today and its new multidimensional approach to counter-terrorism. Developmental plans to deter the root cause and effectively dealing with issues of corruption have produced the opposite intended effect. How seriously should Africa be taking in the war against terror?
