The present manual is targeting the three areas that constitute the task of writing in English: Language rules, norms of organising writing, and basics of logical thinking. The method adopted here is progress in basic tasks from sentence writing to writing research papers, passing by paragraph, essay and report writing. The writing practitioner must be aware that writing actually involves a level of language and another of ideas. He must command the rules of the language as well as the logics of thinking. One may have fine ideas but is unable to express them in a given language. This is a handicap, and that is why mastery of the language rules is prerequisite for successful writing. Learning to write, on the other hand, involves learning the art of thinking and interacting with readers. One may know about the rules of English but cannot produce adequate ideas that easily reach his audience.
