Augmentation of Fertility in Repeat Breeding Crossbred Cows - A baseline data about initiation of Ovsynch and Ovsynch based GnRH treatments on day six of estrous cycle

Repeat breeding is an important cause of infertility in dairy industry. The present investigation was undertaken to evaluate the efficacy of initiation of Ovsynch and Ovsynch based GnRH treatments on day six of estrous cycle in terms of estrus pattern, ovarian activity and conception rate in repeat breeding crossbred cows. This study also ascertained the serum progesterone profile during and post treatments.

About the author

The author graduated in BVSc & AH from AAU in 2013 and completed his MVSc in the discipline of Animal Reproduction, Gynaecology and Obstetrics from Central Agricultural University in 2015. He was the college topper during his Master¿s degree. He joined as JRF at CVSc, Khanapara, Assam in 2015 and as Veterinary Officer at ARDD, Tripura in 2016.
