The book is the resulted of the geological mapping through 2004 and 2007. The final products culminated with field, petrographic, geochemical and geochronological studies of major granitoid and volcanic rocks and minor metamorphic and mafic rocks which crop out along of BR-174 highway, small roads and drainage systems that cut all the Presidente Figueiredo District, The Waterfall Land, NE Amazonas State. Geological scene consists of 1.90 Ga high-K calc-alkaline granitoids of Terra Preta Granite (Água Branca Suite), the 1.88-1. 87 Ga volcano-plutonic system (Iricoumé-Mapuera) integrated to São Gabriel AMCG Suite, as well as alkaline granitic and mafic rocks related to instalation of the Amazon Basin.

About the author










The author has Geology degree from the Federal University of Amazonas (2004), Master degree from the Federal University of Amazonas (2006) and Doctorate in Geology and Geochemistry for the Federal University of Pará (2011). Now he is Adjunct 3 Professor of the Federal University of Roraima, acting in Geological Mapping and Petrology.
