The research focused on the methods used for the study of landscape archaeology, through which the chronology of the site, its functionality within the Inca Empire and their relationship to local-regional level was established. Another objective was to explain the way that the Incas used the architecture to dominate local communities. Analysed are architectural characteristics, the functionality of the structures within the site and the use of the surrounding landscape, emphasizing the changes as a way for the interpretation of the Tawantinsuyu problems in the Northwest of Argentina.
