About the author

Tamara is a daughter and mother to mental illness. She has witnessed and healed from three suicide attempts by those closest to her—two by her mother, and one by her son. Tamara spent years going to therapy, for herself and with her son, learning how to balance living with mental health with having a strong sense of self. In 2016, she became a life coach and created a program to help others who are living with people with mental illness. Tamara has four kids, two cats, two dogs, and a loving husband. She is a huge nerd, loves New Kids on the Block and Star Wars, and spends most Friday and Saturday nights getting crazy with a good book. She resides in St. Catharines, Canada.
