Informationen zum Autor Dame Ngaio Marsh was born in New Zealand in 1895 and died in February 1982. She wrote over 30 detective novels and many of her stories have theatrical settings, for Ngaio Marsh’s real passion was the theatre. She was both an actress and producer and almost single-handedly revived the New Zealand public’s interest in the theatre. It was for this work that the received what she called her ‘damery’ in 1966. Klappentext Stella Duffy completes an unfinished novel from Ngaio Marsh. A hospital in New Zealand's Canterbury plains becomes the scene of a disappearing sum of money and an increasing death toll! just prior to the arrival of an English detective working in counterespionage. Zusammenfassung Roderick Alleyn is back in this unique crime novel begun by Ngaio Marsh during the Second World War and now completed by Stella Duffy in a way that has delighted reviewers and critics alike.
