To every government being a member of a regional groups such SADC and other economic alliances are considered a platform for socio-political and economic growth as well as development. Notwithstanding the negative impacts of regional integration and economic cooperation, countries generally view alliances as positive steps to securing a country's future in terms of economic growth and regional cooperation which is believed to a universal remedy to improving social welfare and poverty eradication.
