Excerpt from Lives of Miltiades and Epaminondas: Edited With Introduction, Notes, Vocabulary, and Map
The text of this edition is taken from Fleekeisen's revision of Karl Halm, Teubner, 1898; but I have omitted Halm's brackets and italics Wherever they occur, considering that their presence would only tend to confuse the class of readers for whom the book is meant. An appendix contains the more important variants for the use of pupils who might have in examination a different text.
