About the author
Dr. med. Dincer Aktuerk wandte sich bereits während des Studiums der Herzchirurgie zu und lernte u. a. an der Yale University, am Texas Heart Institute und an der Universitätsklinik in Freiburg, wo er promovierte. Er arbeitete danach am Universitätsherzzentrum in Hamburg und ist seit dieser Zeit Autor von Fachliteratur. Momentan ist er als Assistenzarzt am Universitätsklinikum in London im Institut für Herz- und Thoraxchirurgie unter weltweit anerkannten Kardiochirurgen tätig und leitet Studien im Bereich der kardialen und thorakalen entzündlichen Erkrankungen.
