About the author










Dr. Tom Hunt is a retired history teacher and local historian who has a Phd in History. He has just completed the official history of the Olympic Council of Ireland, due for publication next year. His previously published works include Sport and Society in Victorian Ireland, and chapters in Sport and the Irish: Histories, Identities and Issues and The Gaelic Athletic Association 1884-2009.
