About the author

Ilsa J. Bick was an English major in college who hates writing about herself. Bick is a child psychiatrist, film scholar, award-winning author of dozens of short stories and novels, and a former Air Force major. She contributed to the Star Trek, Mechwarrior, and Battletech series. Her critically acclaimed young adult book, Draw the Dark, won the Westchester Fiction Award, was a VOYA Perfect Ten, and a Bank Street College 2011 Best Book.
