Wetland is defined as that feature, which is in waterlogged condition during most of the time of a year having various aquatic flora and fauna. The wetlands have been lost within growth of population, urbanization, industrialization and development projects. In Dhaka mega city and it's periphery about 31486.51 hectares of 54093.87 hectares wetlands area have been lost during last 40 years from 1975 to 2015 that 58.2% of total. In this research the have been discussed the spatial changes of wetlands with detecting tools and techniques. The wetlands knowledge have noticed in cause effect of changing aspect. This research is most significant to wetlands management in aspect of urban and rural-urban fringe content.

Nur Hussain has obtained B.Sc & M.Sc. in Geography & Environment at Jahangirnagar University of Bangladesh. He has worked in various research in field of Environmental Management, Remote Sensing and Geo-informatics. He is author of several research article of reputed Journal.
