About the author

Amy Hest is the author of many books, including "Kiss Good Night", "When Jessie Came Across the Sea" (winner of the Kate Greenaway Medal) and "In the Rain with Baby Duck", winner of the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award.Lauren Tobia worked as an intensive care nurse before graduating from the University of the West of England with a degree in Illustration. Whilst studying, she was highly commended in the Macmillan Children’s Book Prize. She is currently a junior fellow at U.W.E. illustration department and a freelance illustrator. Her work is a combination of the hand drawn and digital and she now works as a freelance illustrator.
