This work aims to show an overview of the stage where the currently technologies of measurement of PD in power transformers and high-voltage measurement, in Brazil. The starting point is the presentation of the physical principles of formation of DP, followed by the presentation of the state of the art in measurement of PD in oil transformers, with emphasis on the most used techniques, with respective advantages and disadvantages and analysis of some of main types of equipment on the market. Specifically, are analyzed typical measurement circuits of PD proposed by the current standards for PD detection in high voltage equipment. Many techniques are cited in the course of work, comprising since measurement techniques as such location.
