Gli scrittori forestieri e no strali che di questa arte tratta rono, sono assai; ma io non in tendo di entrare in si amplo campo ed accignèrmi a ragionarne. Non è cotesto il mio divisamento, il quale riguarda soltanto la parte lettera ria, non già la storica; e però a quella intendo limitarmi dando esatto conto delle sollecitudini da me usate nello allestire questo an tico testo, del ms. Di che mi sono giovato, e toccare così alla sfug gita d'altre operette di simil ge nere che fin qui si pubblicarono, o compilate originalmente, o tra dotte in volgare nel buon secolo della lingua.
