This work is intended as a guideline for the development of Learn_IT!, or 'L'italiano a portata di mano', a multimedia mobile application accessible through mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops. As a practical language learning tool, Learn_IT! will help adult migrants study Italian language not only from a pragmatical, functional and instrumental perspective but also from an integrative point of view. As this book will demonstrate, the acquisition of Italian as an L2 competences is a powerful booster for the integration of migrants and refugees into the Italian social fabric, both providing them with a better access to its labour market and endowing them with a useful vademecum that will enhance their conversation skills, setting the basis for a better and more advantageous interaction with Italian language natives and speakers.
About the author
Giorgio Rosalia was born in Catania, Sicily in august 1988. He studied at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Language Sciences and then was awarded a Master Degree in Language Teaching. He has been living between Venice and Catania working as FL teacher.
